Lots of pieces in progress. These are made with simple bowl shaped press molds and then added to, paddled, and formed.
These are "drawings" made from the shrink slab underneath my large works. The black spots are formed from the carbon(wood) as it burns in the kiln. The red, orange, and yellow are the results of the reduction. I have been experimenting with adding lines, dots, etc to create my drawings.
This is the same piece in two different settings. I am just trying to find out what different environments do to the work.
Different sands can have very different effects on a piece.
